Today's Curriculum Challenge is......

for those ready to take the challenge but make sure you complete the tasks below first.

Today I would like you to recap on multiplication.
Read the information below before you begin.

Steps...
Use your place value knowledge to partition the number.
Use a place value grid or draw a picture using counters to represent the multiplication.
Multiply each part of the number.
Add the parts together to find the total.

Remember multiplication is adding lots of times!!!!

Here are some other ways to multiply.

Rosie's method
First multiply the ones.
Next multiply the tens.
Finally add both answers to get the total.

Dani's Method.
Multiply the ones     8 x 2 is 16
Write the 6 in the ones column and the ten underneath the line ( or on the doorstep) in the tens column.
Multiply the tens 8 x 4 tens = 32 tens add the extra ten 33 tens
Write 33 tens  (330) using the place value columns 3 in the hundreds 3 in the tens.
