A short adventure

How did you get on with your story plan from yesterday?
Note: If you had trouble seeing the story starter and plan on Thursday, be sure to have scrolled down to Older Posts and to complete the plan first.
It looks like this:

Now you are ready to write your short adventure story.  Remember to keep it exciting, fast paced.  The events could have taken place over just part of a day or a longer period of time, you decide.  As shown in the story starter, remember to include dialogue between the characters, using inverted commas (" ") and starting a new line for a new speaker.

Use those fronted adverbials we've been working on, such as:

As quick as a flash, ...
After a while, ...
As fast she/he could, ...
Before long,
In the distance
Unexpectedly
Without a sound,
Without warning
All of a sudden

Powerful verbs for an adventure might include:

struggled
shook
quivered
hurried
peeked
slipped
discovered
realised

Maybe this little poster I did ages ago will help you remember some prepositions. Just look where the cheeky spider is…

Happy adventuring!
