Exploring Synonyms and Antonyms
When writing, we
don’t want to repeat words in order to get across our meaning. This is when we use synonyms for similar meanings order to broaden our vocabulary and make
our writing more interesting:
big: enormous, huge, mighty
Remember,
antonyms are words which mean the opposite, so an antonym for big could be
small. Of course, we can do better than that with
more powerful choices:
A synonym for big might be enormous,
an antonym could be miniature, or tiny.
