Create your own Algorithm.
Today we are going to be looking at dividing a single digit number by 10.
Before we begin:
When dividing by 10 the number is being split into 10 equal parts and is 10 times smaller.
On a place value chart, the digits move one place back when dividing by 10.
4 ÷ 10 = 0.4
0 is used as a place holder.
Drawing a place value grid like the one below, will help you to complete the questions.
