English
Today, I would like you to describe your favourite animal or plant using expanded noun phrases.
Remember
When we are writing a description of something that exists now, we need to use the present tense.
Before you begin..
Draw a picture of your animal/plant and label the different parts (nouns)
Think of different and effective adjectives to describe the nouns.
Thinks of verbs to describe the noun (what action does it do?)
Experiment by saying your sentence- does it sound right?
Think about the order of your sentences.
Write your sentences to create a description.
The small eyes that sit on either side of the head quickly spot predators.
The tiny scales that cover the fish's body shimmer in the sunlight.
The tall towering seaweed that stands still when the tide has gone out, is often eaten by birds.
