Today I would like you to continue to look at decimal number lines

Below is some information to help you.

1 metre= 1m=100cm     1/10m= 0.1m= 10cm      

because 100cm  ÷ 10= 10 cm

1 metre= 1m=100cm        1/100m= 0.01m= 1cm      

because 100cm  ÷ 100= 1 cm

1 cm = 10 mm     1/10cm= 0.1cm= 1 mm                

because 10 ÷ 10= 1 mm

1/2 cm                  5/10 cm= 0.5cm = 5mm                

because 1/2=5/10 ( they are equivalent)

Below are some past and present household objects.
Sort them into electrical and non electrical items. It might be easier to draw and label them if you can not print off and cut out!

Finally use your knowledge from last week to label and draw the electrical circuits.

Observational drawing

 Leaves     

Let’s have a look outside.  We don’t need to go many steps to witness nature.  At this time of year the trees are filling out, we’ve enjoyed the colour of the blooms and can now watch the new leaves come through.  

Can you step out to your garden and choose a leaf? 

If not, no worries at all, how about a drawing of your nearest tree?  Look closely at the shape of the leaves, every tree is different!

Have you chosen a leaf?  Let’s look at the detail, and follow these instructions below.  An important point, and one we've mentioned in class a number of times: Don't press hard - a light sketch, then go back with details once you are happy with your drawing.
