English
Today, I would like you to write  a conversation between the Mayor of Hamelin and the Pied Pier.
First, read the next two verses of the poem
The Pied Pier of Hamelin

Before you read-
advanced-  moved forward in a purposeful way
swarthy- dark skinned
charm- control as if by magic, like a spell

What did the Pied Piper say to the Mayor?
What do you think the Mayor said to the Pied Piper?

Write the conversation that you think took place between the Mayor and the Pied Piper.

You need to apply your learning from last week to make sure you punctuate the speech correctly and include some of the ideas from yesterday's work to help the reader understand the character of the Mayor.

To write speech-
Use a new line for each speaker.
Put " " around the spoken words.
Use  , . ? or ! to end the speech. ( inside the inverted commas eg " How will you do it ?" )
Use a capital letter to start speech.
Use synonyms for said.
Use a comma if the reporting clause starts the sentence eg He whispered, " I have a special charm."

Try include some of the vocabulary below.
